If, like most, you're completely disinterested at the prospect of watching The Super Bowl, there is actually an adorable alternative for you to feast your eyes on instead.

Titled Puppy Bowl, the premise of the show is simple: a bunch of cute dogs running around on-screen.

It features two teams, Fluff and Ruff, full of pups competing to get the highest score - there are usually around 70 puppies in total.

The dog with the most touchdowns will receive the Most Valuable Puppy (MVP) award, and the winning team wins the Chewy.com "Lombarky" trophy.

Officials from Puppy Bowl collect the dogs from rescue centres and animal shelters across the USA to raise awareness and encourage viewers to consider adopting a puppy.

According to reports, the Puppy Bowl actually has a 100 percent adoption rate for all of their participants which not only makes the show super adorable but also really worthwhile.

There is also Kitty Halftime Show so there is something for cat-lovers, too.

The show reportedly has a 100 per cent adoption rate. (

This year, 93 adorable puppies will compete from 51 shelters across the US, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico.

Referee Dan Schachner will make sure the dogs follow the rules along with his co-ref Shirley the rescue sloth - it just doesn't get much better than this, does it?

Although the Puppy Bowl takes place in America, you can still watch the adorable event in the UK and we can't wait.
