You might remember Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealing they are now doing their own makeup as a result of coronavirus, to limit the number of staff on set.

And it looks like Piers Morgan has followed suit, as he arrived on ITV's set this morning looking a *little* orange, with a notable makeup line around his jawline.

We've all been there, tbh.

Openly admitting he might have "out-tangerined himself," the controversial TV host joked that he'd had some "blending issues" backstage.

Of course, being Piers, he claimed he wasn't embarrassed in the slightest.

"I don't care. In the general scheme of things, I come in, I'm slapping this stuff on, I've no idea what I'm putting on or how to apply it," he said.

"In the general scheme of what's going on in the world right now, my blending issues with my make up are not that important people!"

Maybe not Piers, but they sure did give us a good chuckle...

It wasn't just the viewers at home who saw the funny side, as his co-host Susanna Reid was also in fits of giggles.

"You're turning into your friend, President Trump...," she joked, as a picture of him darted onto the screen alongside him.

"I've over-tangerined the tangerine dream," Piers conceded. "I can only apologise for anyone who's offended by my orange head."

Before adding: "Other people might quite like the orange look. It works for Trump.

"I'm selflessly making sure that our make-up department, who are wonderful, are not put out of work because we all get too good at their jobs," Piers added.

"As you can see by my poorly blended head, that is unlikely to happen. I've kept them in work, it's a selfless act on my part."

Ah, yes. It was completely intentional. You keep telling yourself that, Piers

The make-up department are currently not working across ITV's shows, in response to the government's coronavirus lockdown.

The channel has taken the guidelines very seriously, rejigging the schedule to ensure everything is filmed with as few team members as possible and ensuring that all hosts stand at least two metres away from each other at all times.
