This Morning's Phillip Schofield had an awkward conversation with a viewer on Tuesday as he called her out for complaining about her husband during a phone in.

The woman, named Zara, rung up the show and spoke of how she had been furloughed while her husband was working full time.

She added that, despite this, she was feeling frustrated that her husband wasn't helping with any of the household chores, leaving them all to her.

And... well, you can watch Phil's reaction for yourself:

Clearly bemused by her angst, Phil replied: "I am on the thinnest of ice here, if he's working full-time and you are on furlough so you have got your days free, is that right?

"What else are you doing?"

Holly laughed and added: "I'll just step back and watch this one burn I think..."

Before Phil explained: "I just think it seems fair".

The audience appeared to be in agreement.

"Yes Zara you should be doing the housework ur boyfriend is going out to work you're at home so stop whinging and stop expecting to be thanked it's ur house too do u thank him when he does something #ThisMorning (sic)," one wrote.

While another penned: "Zara you lazy mare, get out of bed and do something #thismorning". Savage.

Despite many agreeing with Phil online, backing the listener, an ever empathetic Holly then chimed in: "I just think he could say thank you... I think that's the problem.

"And you wouldn't mind as much if he was a bit more appreciative of it."

But Vanessa Feltz, the show's celeb agony aunt, took a more hardline view against Phil's stance.

"He does not live in Downton Abbey, he doesn't get to swan in and expect full silver service and five-star waiting on and that shouldn't be allowed to continue.

"I think you should say 'I know you're at work, I know I'm here I have a lot of time on my hands but we both live here, we both eat, we both make a mess and I would appreciate not being treated as your butler.'"

Looks like the jury's still out on this one!
