If you've been missing MC Grindah and his motley crew on your screen then you're in huge luck: season five of People Just Do Nothing is landing on Netflix on Wednesday.

We last saw Brentford's sickest pirate radio crew up to their usual tricks back in October 2018, when the fifth (and latest) instalment of the award-winning BBC documentary aired - and now we're finally getting all six episodes on Netflix.

The cult series follows the trials and tribulations of Grindah and his mandem as they seek to make take their illegal radio channel, Kurupt FM, worldwide.

Series five saw Grindah struggle with the prospect of moving out of his west London home when he and Miche are told their estate is due for development.

Meanwhile, the Kurupt FM crew adjust themselves to the world of live streaming, with Grindah struggling to accept criticism from online viewers.

The series ended with Grindah bidding farewell to Brentford, and Chabuddy G starting up a new business venture, having been fired from his electronics store.

Sadly, this series of the hit show will be its last, with co-creator Allan Mustafa - who plays MC Grindah - telling Digital Spy back in 2018: "In the writers' room, you'd think of an idea and then you'd realise we've already done it... and that started happening more and more.

"We didn't want to rinse it. We just wanted to leave it, hopefully, special and end it on, hopefully, a high. That's it, really.

"We always had a really strong vision of how it ends. From around series two onward, we knew it would end how it ends."

But all is not lost PJDN fans, as the show plans to go out with one VERY big bang.

The team behind the show are currently working on a movie (I know, exciting right?!) which sees MC Grindah and his motley crew head East - and we're not talking Hackney.

Production has already started on the film, titled People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan, with filming beginning in both Japan and the UK.

Plot-wise, life has been quiet for the Kurupt FM boys since the end of their pirate radio station - but not for long. News reaches them that one of their tunes has been played on a popular gameshow in Japan.

Taking this as their big break, the boys naturally head straight to Japan to enjoy their fame and fortune.

Chabuddy G enthusiastically steps back into his management role as Grindah, Beats, Steves and Decoy begin their journey to international stardom. But is Japan really ready for Kurupt FM?

The film was set for release on 28th August 2020, but Film Stories report the film has sadly been taken off the schedule for that month, likely due to production delays due to coronavirus.

While we don't have a new release date, we're prepared to wait for this one. After all, the longer it takes to be released, the more time we have to come to terms about the end of People Just Do Nothing, right?

*Sobs.*
