If there's been a Shelby-shaped hole in your life since season five of Peaky Blinders came to an end, you'll be happy to know that filming is due to begin on the six season next year, and it looks like Tommy and the gang are heading to Manchester.

Like pretty much everything in 2020, production on the smash hit Netflix show was halted as a result of the pandemic - but a casting agency has given some very heavy hints that the show will soon be returning to our screens.

Taking to social media to post the ad, Leeds-based talent agency LB Casting Ltd, who have been used to cast extras for previous seasons of Peaky Blinders, said it is recruiting for extras for "a very well-known BBC period drama shooting early 2021 in Manchester."

If you need more convincing, the advert features a silhouette of a man in a newsboy cap, just like those worn by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his gang in the show.

Perhaps most telling, the ad states "By order of...LB Casting", mimicking the Peaky Blinders' most popular catchphrase.

The casting is calling for men and women of all ethnicities, with 'natural looks that can portray a true reflection of the time period being told'. That means females must have mid to shoulder length hair, no dyed hair or obvious highlights and be no bigger than a dress size 12.

As for the men, there can be no modern haircuts or fades, no dyed hair or modern beards/facial hair, and you can't have a chest size bigger than 44".

Oh, and you must be willing to shave your hair if required. Now that's dedication!

Other requirements include no piercings or visible tattoos, and no false nails or eyelash extensions.

Actors will be paid at PACT Equity rates, but travel and accommodation expenses will not be included.

"Ideally we are looking for people who drive due to early call times and late finishes. Please ensure you can independently get to and from Manchester outside of peak times," the advert continues.

You must be 16 years or over to apply. Interested? Send your details together with two new photos of yourself to [email protected] by January 3, 2021.

While set in Birmingham, Greater Manchester has formed much of the backdrop for Peaky Blinders' previous seasons, so this totally makes sense. And you never know, you might even get to meet Cillian himself.

We're sold.
