With Our Girl returning to screens at the end of this month (eek!), the BBC has just dropped an brand new trailer - and it's just as explosive as we'd hoped.

In what's set to be Michelle Keegan's last series in the role of army medic Sergeant Georgie Lane, series 4 will see Georgie happily working back in her native Lancashire with the RAMC, training a bunch of medics.

However, when she has a chance encounter with her friends in Section 2, she learns they're about to embark on a tour of Afghanistan.

She resists joining them, happy in her comfortable role back at home, but when a near-fatal accident occurs during a night out, Georgie is forced to confront the real reason why she's scared of returning - because of the painful memories of losing her fiancé Elvis (played by the delightful Luke Pasqualino).

Ultimately, Georgie decides to confront her fears head-on.

The trailer, released on Wednesday, shows Georgie return to Afghanistan where Section 2 are tasked with taking down a warlord who is set on wreaking havoc over the entire region.

As has become normal in the three seasons of the military drama so far, there's a ton of high-stakes action - fighting and explosions included.

However, it's permeated by Georgie struggling with PTSD from the loss of her fiancé in season 3. "I just keep being reminded of Elvis," she weeps. "I don't think I can do this any more."

Last week, the BBC released another sneak peak on Twitter, introduced by Keegan, showing a frantic wedding scene.

The clip shows Georgie, her sister, mother and grandmother are rushing to get ready for a wedding (judging by the white dress hanging up in the background).

The army medic helps her grandmother, who has been burned by a straightener, before advising her sister on what eye makeup to choose, as her mother complains of laddering her tights.

Finally, her father enters the room and tells the women to hurry as the car's arrived.

It comes just weeks after the actress, 32, announced she was quitting the role, with the fourth season being her last.

"I've had the most incredible four years on the show," the actress said in a statement.

"Playing Georgie has been a life changing role for me. I've loved every second... so it was a very hard decision to make not to return."

BBC haven't confirmed if they'll be continuing the show, and if so, who will replace her.

Our Girl returns to BBC One later this month.
