Award-winning actress Taylor Schilling - known for her performance as Litchfield Penitentiary prisoner Piper Chapman in Netflix's Orange is the New Black - has revealed that she's in a relationship in a sweet Instagram post.

The Golden Globe-nominated star took to Instastories to confirm her partnership with visual artist Emily Ritz - and celebrate Pride 2020 at the same time.

Resharing her girlfriend Emily's original message, Taylor's post shows the loved-up couple looking deep into each other's eyes, sharing an embrace on a misty hilltop.

Adorable!

Emily's original caption reads: "I couldn't be more proud to be by your side @taylorschilling. Happy Pride!"

Taylor added a load of red heart emojis for good measure.

The actress has previously spoken out about not wanting to be pigeon-holed when it comes to her romantic life.

Talking ES Magazine back in 2017, Taylor said: "There's no part of me that can be put under a label. I really don't fit into a box, that's too reductive.

"I've had wonderful relationships. I've had a lot of love, and I don't have any qualms about where it comes from."

OITNB ran from July 2013 to July 2019 and quickly gained a cult following thanks to its grisly humour, themes of female identity, and refusal to stereotype people in prison.

The cast of the hit show bid farewell to the series in a tear-jerking featurette released ahead of the show's final season.

Looking back on seven seasons, the cast, including Taylor Schilling, Laverne Cox and Uzo Aduba, discussed how the Netflix series had changed their lives.

Laura Prepon, who played Alex Vause, remarked in the behind-the-scenes video: "Orange has become this really great voice for people. It's so wonderful to be a part of."

Meanwhile, Taylor praised OITNB's LGBTQ-led storylines, which she said were, "treated as love stories, like any other love story."

All seven seasons of Orange Is the New Black are available to stream on Netflix.
