We're not crying, you are.

Good Morning Britain gave us the feel-good story we need this morning as 94-year-old Ken Bembrow broke down over a sweet gesture from his career, Kia Tobin, 17.

The WW2 veteran had gone viral online after his carer, Kia, sweetly gifted him a cushion with his late wife Aida's picture on it, nine months on from her death.

Kia had been worried about widower Ken sleeping with a glass-framed picture of Aida, and so wanted to find a comfy alternative.

And it certainly went down a treat, as in the clip, the adorable old man could be seen letting out a loud gasp before hugging the cushion close and shedding a tear.

There were more tears to come on the ITV news show this morning, as Ken emotionally recalled receiving the thoughtful present during a video chat with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

"Kia...and the manager of the home said 'Ken, I've got a present for you'..." he begun, before pausing as his eyes filled with tears.

"I'm going to cry if I keep on [going], because it was so touching," he said. "It was lovely, the most precious thing that anyone could ever wish for."

"How can you describe that?," a beaming Kia responded. "It was amazing, it was so rewarding - it doesn't cost a lot and it made him so happy."

The carer went on to reveal that, when she gave Ken the gift, everybody in the room was crying.

Turning to Kia, Ken smiled: "She made me the happiest man in the world."

During the interview, Ken also recalled wife Aida, describing her as "the most loving, caring, beautiful wife you could wish for".

And the chat was so sweet that Susanna admitted to crying "at least three times" off camera. She wasn't the only one, either.

While one viewer branded themselves an "emotional wreck," another wrote: "Kia and Ken the happiest bit of news I've seen in weeks."

"He's so wonderful and what a lovely girl Kia is, just the sort of person you need in a care home, she seems so caring and sweet. Her family must be so proud," a second concurred.

As a third chipped in: "That's the best thing I have watched in a very long time wow wow god bless you sir, and God bless the carer as well, how emotional what a life".

Ken and his wife were married 75 years (

Ken and Aida were married 75 years, and he was left devastated when his wife died.

The pensioner had originally moved into his care home, Thistleton Lodge, in Preston, because his wife needed care and he couldn't bear leaving her side. But after her passing, he decided to stay.

Kevin Moore, manager of the facility, said: "As you can see from the video, loved her with everything he had!

"When she passed away, he was heartbroken as you can imagine, but all he could say was that he was grateful to have had her in his life for over 75 years."

This story just shows how far a little bit of kindness can go.
