Anyone who has watched Sally Rooney's TV adaptation, Normal People will almost certainly be obsessed with the show's three main characters - Marianne (Daisy Edgar Jones), Connell (Paul Mescal) and last but not least, Connell's chain (played by itself).

The simple, but striking, piece of neck jewellery has amounted quite the fan base since the show arrived into our lives last week. It even has its own Instagram account, with 35,000 followers and counting.

But, many fans have been left wondering - where is Connell's silver chain now? Who is wearing it? And what has it been up to since the show wrapped?

Well, we'll tell you - but be warned, it could emotionally floor you just as much as the programme itself...

Speaking to Variety during a live Q&A, Paul, 24, revealed he has actually given the chain to co-star, Daisy. Cuuute.

Even cuter, Paul gave it to Daisy, 21, as part of a wrap gift, along with a selection of photographs. But there is a problematic side to the story.

Paul explained: "I gave it to Daisy and I'm not going to blame her for losing it! I gave it to her as a wrap gift with photographs at the end of filming.

"We then came back to shoot the poster for the show and I had to wear it and it got lost in all the costumes and stuff."

Everyone calm down though, because he went on to explain: "But [it was found eventually] and I think Daisy has it now. You can call off the search party!"

Wow, thank goodness. Daisy, if you could just confirm you have it and it's safe, that would be great?

Ever since the show aired on BBC last week, fans have been going wild for Connell's chain.

So much so that similar styles have started flying off the e-shelves. In April, sales of neck chains reportedly rocketed by 130 per cent at ASOS.

It even has its own Instagram account, filled with heavenly photos of Connell wearing the simple silver jewellery.

We've got a feeling we're going to be seeing a *lot* of people sporting these chains once we're out of lockdown...
