Viewers can't decide if they prefer Rylan or Ainsley.

Last week, Ready Steady Cook returned to our lives and we've been enjoying the nostalgic throwbacks to the popular 90s show ever since.

But while the original was hosted by Ready Steady Cook OG Ainsley Harriott, this time, Rylan Clark-Neal has taken the reins.

Viewers are loving Rylan so far, but with Ainsley having presented the show for almost a decade, some fans *have* been pining for him.

We think Rylan's doing a fab job, but we can understand why some viewers are missing Ainsley - after all, he was a legend on the show.

One wrote: "Ready steady cook just ain't the same without Ainsley".

While another tweeted: "Ready Steady Cook with Rylan hosting?! Ainsley Harriott, we need you back big man".

Others jumped to the 31-year-old defence, with one calling Rylan a "perfect fit".

One wrote: "Was watching ready steady cook, this morning [...] got to tell u, [great] show. Used to watch it, with my mum.

"But by watching it made me smile and good memories remembered. Thanks for bringing the show back @Rylan best host so far."

Another commented: "The first week of @RSCookTV was brilliant, you are a fantastic host for the show, looking forward to week 2's shows, not long to wait."

The new version follows a similar format - in each episode, two contestants team up with a chef to compete against the clock.

But there are some changes. The new 2020 show sees contestants prepare meals to a series of modern food themes.

These include cooking for the whole family, meals on a budget, healthy eating and - in a nod to sustainability - managing food waste.

The opening challenge, however, is much like the original format, with chefs having 20 minutes to whip up an impressive meal.

And - most importantly - the vote for the show's winner is made by the studio audience using the classic red tomato and green pepper voting cards.

Whether it's Ainsley *or* Ryan at the helm, Ready Steady Cook will always be one of our favourites.

Ready Steady Cook is on every weekday afternoon on BBC One at 4.30pm.
