We've got a sneaky suspicion this will be our new obsession.

Friends fans, assemble. There's a new show coming to Netflix starring Lisa Kudrow (best know as Phoebe) and it looks brilliant.

Created by the masterminds behind The Office, the workplace comedy also stars Steve Carell - so we're expecting big things.

It focuses on pilot, general Mark R Naird (played by Carell) who has been tasked with leading a newly formed branch of the US Armed Forces - Space Force.

It's unlike anything Mark has ever done before and although he's sceptical, he's committed to the job and uproots his family to move to a remote area of Colorado.

With a team of scientists and spacemen, the group have been tasked by the White House with "achieving total space dominance".

The new drama stars Steve Carell (
Netflix)

Lisa plays Maggie Naird, a woman who has made a number of sacrifices for her husband Mark's career over the past 20 years.

Mark might be taking on the biggest challenge of his career, but Maggie is going in a different direction for the first time.

A teaser clip released by Netflix reads: "On June 18 2018, the federal government announced the creation of a 6th major division of the United States Armed Forces.

The workplace comedy is from the makers of 'The Office' (
Netflix)

"The goal of the new branch is 'to defend satellites from attack' and 'perform other space related tasks'... Or something.

"This is the story of the men and women who have to figure it out."

Carell has also co-created the series along with Greg Daniels (The Office) while Howard Klein (also known for his work on The Office) is executive producer.

Starring alongside Carell and Kudrow is John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome and Ben Schwartz.

It will launch on Netflix on Friday 29th May 2020. We've got a feeling this is going to be hilarious. If it's starring Lisa Kudrow *and* it's from the makers of The Office, we're sold.

Mark it in your calendars guys, it's not to be missed!
