Little Mermaid Fans Will Love Disney's New Film Luca

Little Mermaid fans, Disney has just released a brand new movie on Disney+ - and if you're yet to watch, you're gonna' love it.
Luca is a coming-of-age story and centres around friends Luca and Alberto, who have an action packed summer on the Italian Riviera. However, they are hiding a secret - they're actually sea monsters from a mysterious underwater world!

The official synopsis explains: "Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar's original feature film Luca is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.
"... But all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water's surface."
Starring in the movie is Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer and Maya Rudolph. Meanwhile, TV chef and personality Gino D'Acampo also made his film debut as a priest named Eugenio in the movie.
And fans are loving the film, with many comparing it to cult fave The Little Mermaid.
After watching this weekend, one wrote: "A few minutes into watching #Luca and it's giving me so much The Little Mermaid vibe."
Meanwhile another added: "Am I the only one that got The Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo vibes from the beginning of Luca?"
And a third added: "The best description I could give of the new Pixar movie Luca is that it's like The Little Mermaid but instead of love, the protagonist wants a Vespa."
And another wrote: "With The Little Mermaid being my favourite film as a kid, Luca is making me feel like a child again I am so giddy and happy watching this."
Meanwhile a fifth added: "Luca is the most adorable Pixar film. The character designs look straight up adorable. It's sort of like The Little Mermaid with some elements from An Extremely Goofy Movie, which I love."
