Netflix has released the first trailer for its new horror film The Perfection, and it hints at all the suspense of Get Out mixed with the psychological twists and turns of Black Swan.
The film, starring Girls star Allison Williams and Logan Browning of Dear White People, follows a troubled musical prodigy (Williams) who seeks out the new star pupil of her school (Browning) with sinister consequences.
Sounds like the making of a decent horror film, right?

Netflix calls the film an "elegant and terrifying suspense ride" and says it was the "most-buzzed about film at last year's Fantastic Fest".
The film was directed by Richard Shepard, who won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for Ugly Betty. The screenplay was written by Shepard alongside Eric C. Charmelo and Nicole Snyder.
The trailer opens with Williams' character, cello-playing prodigy Charlotte, reaching for the meat cleaver when her rival begins envisioning bugs crawling on her skin - something we have a sneaky suspicion Charlotte is behind.

It appears the twisted musical prodigy will go to any lengths to take out her competitor (even chopping off her arm to ruin her musical career), much like Natalie Portman's character Nina in Black Swan.
The trailer follows with hair-pulling, backstabbing (literally), blood splats galore and psychotic glances from Alison Williams.
Of course it's not the first time we've seen Williams assume such a creepy role so brilliantly. The actress terrified viewers with her depiction of sickly sweet psychopath Rose in Jordan Peele's award-winning Get Out, alongside Daniel Kaluuya.
