Netflix's new horror series is landing just in time for Halloween and is definitely going to become your new spooky late night binge watch.
The Haunting Of Hill House is released on the 12th October and is based on the 1959 novel by Shirley Jackson with a few adaptations to make it suitable for TV.
Mike Flanagan's new series stars his frequent collaborator Carla Gugino and follows a a group of siblings who spent their childhood in the most famous haunted house in the country...
Now as adults, they must return to their former home to confront long-suppressed trauma.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Director Mike Flanagan said: "I don't want to give anything away, but I adore the novel.
"It doesn't span a 10-hour season of television. We had to make some changes to make it fit, but I think they're all in the spirit of what she was doing, and I think fans of the book will be very excited.
"It's my first time doing any television. I love it. I love being able to spend so much time with characters. I love plotting those arcs. I hope to do a lot more of it. It's a really exciting way to tell a story."
The trailer for the new series was released yesterday and is a continuous shot that rolls from bedroom to bedroom with lights flickering, chairs rocking and bed sheets ruffling.
Horror fans have already been treated to the 'scariest film of 2018' when it was scientifically proven that Hereditary earned that title after it was released in cinemas in June.
Hereditary centres on actress Toni Collette's character uncovering a pretty terrifying supernatural family secret, and it has been branded both 'harrowing' and 'unsettling'.
In the study, the production team behind the film kitted Hereditary fans out with Apple Watches in order to monitor their reactions during the horror.
The watches then tracked the heart rates of people as they watched the film.
While your resting heart rate should be anywhere 60 and 80 beats per minute, some fans feasting their eyes on Hereditary had their heart rates raised to 164pm, which is well over double in some cases.
