If you're a fan of You then you're going to love the newest thriller to drop on Netflix - Unforgettable.

The 2017 film was popular at the time of its release, but if you haven't yet seen it then now is your time, as it lands on the streaming platform on Monday.

The American drama, directed by Denise Di Novi and written by Christina Hodson (Birds Of Prey, Bumblebee), follows a divorcee who sets out to make the life of her ex husband's fiancee a misery.

And much like in smash-hit series You, social media is her weapon of choice - oh, alongside violence, stalking and a heavy dose of downright evil, too.

The film starts by showing protagonist Julia Banks (Rosario Dawson) being interrogated over the murder of her abusive ex boyfriend.

It then flashes back six months earlier, showing a happier Julia leaving her job to move to San Francisco with her fiance David (Geoff Stults) and his daughter Lili (Isabelle Rice).

It all looks rosy at the beginning. But then David's ex wife Tessa (Katherine Heigl) enters the picture, and while Julia tries to extend an olive branch, she makes her opinions of Julia perfectly clear from the offset.

As Julia and David remain a tight unit, living the idyllic life that Tessa used to have and still craves, the scorned mum's anger and contempt grows and grows.

Like You's Joe - she'll clearly stop at nothing to eliminate anybody that stands between her and the one she wants.

And similarly, she's soon seen skulking around corners and watching Julia from her car, sending her flowers and scheming to mess with her head in pretty much any way she can.

Things go from childish and petty to downright creepy when she decides to try and take her love rival down by creating fake social media accounts in her name, contacting Julia's abusive ex-boyfriend Michael (Simon Kassianides) in order to truly send her life spiralling out of control.

The movie's release on the streaming platform comes as stalker drama You has been a smash-hit success, with many watching the entire second series in one sitting, and rumours of a third season already in the air.

You's villainous main character Joe Goldberg (Penn Bagdley) seems just as messed up as Tessa, stalking his victims, such as Candace, Bec and Love and using social media and the internet to control people and ultimately ruin or end their lives.

The creepiest thing is that both You and Unforgettable's villains also look outwardly normal and far from dangerous, meaning that nobody suspects their meddling, scheming and manipulating. But that makes for all the better viewing, obvs.

If you've got a Joe Goldberg shaped hole in your life after bingeing the most recent season of You a little too quickly then this could be the film for you.

We'll definitely be tuning in.
