There's a new horror-thriller set to hit Netflix later this year, and people are already dubbing it a cross between Stephen King's work and A Quiet Place, which sounds pretty incredible in our opinion.
Bird Box will launch on the online streaming giant in December and the trailer has already given us all kinds of goosebumps...
Even Rotten Tomatoes tweeted out the trailer, telling its followers the post-apocalyptic thriller 'feels like Stephen King meets #AQuietPlace," which are both fairly big accolades for a film that hasn't even been released yet.
Den of Geek also referred to the film, starring Sandra Bullock, as a 'neat looking horror that looks like it might be the new A Quiet Place' and we're already sold.
The film's synopsis reads: "When a mysterious force decimates the world's population, only one thing is certain: if you see it, you take your life.
"Facing the unknown, Malorie finds love, hope and a new beginning only for it to unravel. Now she must flee with her two children down a treacherous river to the one place left that may offer sanctuary. But to survive, they'll have to undertake the perilous two-day journey blindfolded.
"Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock leads an all-star cast that includes Trevante Rhodes, with Sarah Paulson, and John Malkovich in #BirdBox, a compelling new thriller from Academy Award winner Susanne Bier."
While some people seemed a bit annoyed that Bird Box seemingly 'ripped off' A Quiet Place, fans on Twitter were quick to point out that the film is actually based on a novel called Bird Box, which was released back in 2014.
One person tweeted: "Bird Box is a book by Josh Malerman back in 2014. Made wayyyy before A Quiet Place."
Another said: "For people commenting it's a ripoff of A Quiet Place, actually they ripped off Bird Box. Bird Box was written way before A Quiet Place."
Regardless, they both seem like incredible films and the addition of Sandra Bullock is definitely an added bonus.
Bird Box is set to hit Netflix on 21st December and we can't wait.
