People Are Hooked On New Netflix Show 'Safe'

If you were hooked to Netflix's The Stranger we can guarantee you'll be equally obsessed with one of the streaming platform's other shows, Safe.

The series has been created by Harlan Coben, the very same man who masterminded The Stranger - so it's no surprise fans are comparing the two and admitting they're also "hooked".

The eight-part series, which is available to binge-watch now, follows Tom, who is bringing up his two daughters as a single dad, after his wife sadly passed away a year ago.

He lives in a safe, gated area with a close community who he believes he can trust. But when his eldest daughter mysteriously disappears after a party, he realises just how little he knows about his so-called friends.

The show raises the question of, how well do you really know the people around you? And how well do they know you?

Throughout the series, viewers start to learn more about Tom - a paediatric surgeon who feels some guilt over the death of his wife, Rachel.

We don't want to give anything away, but viewers will learn the truth of how Rachel died and why Tom is haunted by the events from that night.

Starring in the series is Michael C. Hall (The Crown), Amy James-Kelly (Coronation Street), Amanda Abbington (Sherlock) and Hannah Arterton (The Five).

And those who have already binged the lot are praising the show. Some said they were 'hooked' while others said they'd stayed up all night to finish off the eight episodes.

While another wrote: "'Safe' on netflix is sooo good, I managed to actually stay awake & watch it from start to finish."

One person agreed, rating it 10/10 and also admitting to staying up binge-watching.

Another called it "absolutely brilliant" explaining it had reeled her in - just like The Stranger.

While the series has been on Netflix for some time, many viewers are only just tuning in after needing an equally-addictive show following The Stranger.
