Riverdale fans have been waiting not-so-patiently for the second part of Season 4 of the hit teen drama series to return to Netflix following its midseason break.

Well, the wait is over. The show will drop on Netflix for UK viewers on Thursday.

We're hoping to have the burning questions we were left with at the end of the dramatic final episode of the first part of the season answered.

Naturally, one thing on our minds is the question of the musical. For anyone not in the know, previous seasons of Riverdale have devoted an episode to a musical extravaganza related to the storyline, which sees the cast sing their hearts out.

Each musical pays tribute to a show. Season 3 served us Heathers: The Musical, while season two was a tribute to Carrie with Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) playing the central part.

What gruesome musical will producers treat us to this time?

The first half of Riverdale Season 4 saw Archie Andrews (played by KJ Apa) grieving for his father Fred (Luke Perry) who tragically died in real life in March 2019 following a stroke.

Producers dedicated the first episode of the new season to the late actor, showing Archie and his friends coming to terms with Fred's sudden death.

Archie goes on to open a community centre for impoverished kids but comes up against trouble with drug-dealer Dodger Dickenson (Juan Riedinger), resulting in a stand-off which sees FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich) getting shot.

Elsewhere, Veronica Lodge's (Camila Mendes) battle with her father continued to play out, and Cheryl Blossom was the victim of an elaborate deception by her manipulative mother Penelope (Nathalie Boltt) - but finally uncovered the truth and put her brother Jason's (Trevor Stines) body to rest.

At Stonewall Prep School, Jughead unravelled the mystery of the Baxter Brothers' books and went on to be appointed as ghost writer for the literary brothers' new novel.

The dark teen drama is set to return to Netflix on 23rd January. (

In an edge-of-seat storyline that climaxed at the end of the first half of Season 4, Jughead's girlfriend Betty became increasingly unstable. Believing ex farmies were hypnotising people to turn against her, Betty's internal battle to contain her dark side comes to the surface.

Cut to a bloody flash-forward with Betty standing over a bludgeoned Jughead, leaving us with so many questions about happened and whether Jughead would survive.

With the second half of the season now dropping, we're preparing ourselves for the idea that we may end up seeing the last of Jughead. That bludgeoned corpse did not look promising, guys. Unless, of course, the whole thing happened in Betty's mind.

And what will happen to poor Cheryl? Call us conspiracy theorists, but we're wondering if her girlfriend Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) could be a figment of her imagination? After all, she's never shown in conversation with other characters.

So. Many. Questions.

But with 11 fresh episodes to come, we'll soon have answers.

Riverdale is set to return to Netflix on 23rd January at 8am.
