Netflix Releases Trailer For 'Lucifer' Season Four
For those of you who aren't familiar with Netflix's latest series, Lucifer followers Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and her partner, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), who also doubles up as the devil.
Lucifer originally ran on Fox's network, but wasn't renewed after three seasons, but Netflix chose to pick it up after fans kicked up a fuss with the #SaveLucifer, giving it a new lease of life.
Season four will pick up shortly after the major cliffhanger that season three left behind, which saw Chloe finally see Lucifer in his true devil form.
As per the streaming giant's official synopsis for season four: "Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back.
"Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago... or something else entirely?"
Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich previously teased details of the plot.
Joe explained: "That was the big thrust of season four - exploring Chloe dealing with those ramifications, and how it affected her relationship with Lucifer. Both professionally and personally. Can you work with the Devil? Can you love the devil?"
While Modrovich added: "We also had an exciting character from Lucifer's past who was going to come in and mix everything up. A very personal, intimate figure who we won't reveal the identity of yet... until we find out if we get the chance to tell the tale on a new network."
Earlier this month, Netflix released another trailer for the forthcoming series. Prepare yourselves, it's pretty *steamy*...
Season four will premiere on Netflix 8th May - make a date in your diaries.
