The world can seem a bit doom and gloom at times, and a Jennifer Aniston - Adam Sandler comedy combo is just what the world needs to pick up its spirits.

Luckily, Netflix has heard our prayers and released the official trailer for Murder Mystery, and it sounds incredible...

The new comedy sees Aniston and Sandler star as a pair of newlyweds who head on a belated European honeymoon, where they're incidentally dragged into a murder investigation.

Audrey and Nick Spitz find themselves on a fancy yacht alongside a handsome rich stranger, played by Luke Evans.

The film is heavily taken from Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, which is pretty much putting a huge bunch of people in a contained space together so that when a murder is committed, so that everyone can be considered a suspect (think Cluedo).

In Murder Mystery, said space is the swanky yacht owned by mysterious billionaire, Charles (Luke Evans). Other people onboard the yacht when it all goes down includes a glamorous actress called Grace (Gemma Arterton), Terence Stamp and David Williams, of course.

The pair find themselves at the centre of a murder inquiry.

Everyone on the boat is of course a potential suspect, but particularly Nick and Audrey, who have the finger pointed at them because they are strangers on the boat. Thankfully, Nick is a police detective, so begins his investigations from the inside, which doesn't go down well with the French police inspector played by Dany Boon. What a cast.

Despite what its name might suggest, Murder Mystery is in fact a comedy, and has been compared to the likes of Spy and Game Night by critics.

Obviously, it isn't the first time Aniston and Sandler have starred alongside one another as the pair played Danny and Katherine in 2011 rom-com Just Go With It. A classic.

Murder Mystery streams on Netflix from 14th June.
