'Tis the season for giving and it appears Netflix is in a generous mood as the streaming giant released the first look at Locke And Key.

The spine-tingling drama is adapted from the IDW comic book by Stephen King's son Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, and is set to land on the streaming service on 7th February, 2020.

In the first look image, fans see three characters looking up at the vast home surrounded by snow. Viewers get a good look at the creepy exterior to the house in which a mysterious demon is unleashed.

Sharing the image on Twitter, the show's official account captioned the shot: "Welcome to Keyhouse".

The titbit before Christmas sent fans of the graphic novels wild on social media, who couldn't contain their excitement for the upcoming addition to the streaming service.

One penned: "This looks amazing. I'm getting Haunting of Hill House vibes but also like Haunted Mansion, Spiderwick Chronicles etc."

Netflix says of the plot: "After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father's death.

"As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens - and will stop at nothing to steal them.

"From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), the series is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family."

The long-awaited 10-part television adaptation will also be executive produced by Cuse and Averill alongside Hill.

Locke and Key arrives on Netflix globally on 7th February, 2020.
