Saucy Netflix Film '365 DNI' Is Getting A Sequel
This article contains spoilers for 365 DNI.
But now, Anna-Maria Sieklucka has revealed there *will* be a sequel to the steamy drama - and she's even dished when we might expect it.
While fans have been obsessed with the film, many were left wanting more after *that* cliffhanger ending.
The film itself is based on the book of the same name, by author Blanka Lipinska. And once fans discovered there are actually two more books in the trilogy, they were left wondering (and hoping) a sequel would be confirmed ASAP.
And now we can reveal there is one in the works!
Speaking in an Instagram video, Anna-Maria (who played Laura) confirmed production would begin next year.
"Not this year, because of the pandemic we will not be able to go abroad to shoot [it]," she explained, via OneT Film.
"You must be patient and wait. Probably it will be until next year. We do not know exactly when we will be able to start."
Makes sense - after all, we imagine a 365 DNI sequel would be absolutely impossible to film while maintaining social distancing.
While there's no information about what the plot could entail, we do know the general storyline of the books - which could provide some clues.
And considering there is a third book, could we be in for a third film at some point? We hope so.
The next instalment in the series is named Ten Dzeiń (which translates to This Day) starts with Massimo rescuing his now-pregnant girlfriend before they start a new fairytale life, marrying and living in luxury.
Things look pretty rosy, but the rival mob are still on the pair's tail, and it's not long before a Laura is in danger again.
Shockingly, Laura gets kidnapped again, but this time, it's by a mobster named Marcelo "Nacho" Matos. Believe it or not, it isn't long before she starts to develop feelings for him instead.
The third book, Kolejne 365 DNI (meaning Another 365 Days), meanwhile, sees Massimo forced to make a choice between saving Laura or their child.
We're hedging our bets that just like the first film, there'll be a *lot* of sex.
If you're yet to watch the first movie, it stars Anna Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone (where's the heart eyes emoji when you need it...) whose characters meet in a rather odd way.
Laura (Sieklucka) is a sales director for a five-star hotel in Poland and plans a birthday trip to Sicily with her boyfriend. Their relationship is on the rocks - he doesn't appreciate her, makes no effort and it later turns out he's been cheating.
During the trip, Laura is out on her own one evening when she is kidnapped by a man named Massimo (Morrone), the newly-appointed leader of the Sicilian Mafia. It's all a bit strange, but during a near death experience five years earlier, Massimo says Laura 'appeared' to him and he's been trying to track her down ever since.
The hunky Italian gangster gives Laura 365 days to fall in love with him. He says after the year, if she doesn't love him, she can leave.
What follows is a lot of sex scenes (in a variety of places, including a luxury yacht) as well as nudity and bondage. Not so surprising it's been compared to Fifty Shades then...
You can catch the first film on Netflix now.
