Get ready for all kinds of nostalgia because the trailer for the hotly anticipated Saved By The Bell reboot just dropped.

Yep, NBC have reimagined the 90s classic and have now released the first teaser on their new streaming service Peacock.

The original show was a TV staple for most millennials and ran for four series from 1989-92, scoring multiple re-runs on account of its popularity.

The sitcom followed the lives of students Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, A.C. Slater, Jessie Spano and Screech at Bayside High, giving viewers epic fashion, teen romance and American High School stereotypes a-plenty.

NBC's rebooted spin on the show sees Mario Lopez return as A.C. Slater, alongside Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano.

So, what juicy details does the trailer give us about the show's return?

Well, the original cast members will unite with a new generation of Bayside High students.

The teaser opens with the school bell ringing (obvs) and AC Slater returning as the Bayside's gym teacher on the athletic field, complete with a whistle.

Cut to a bunch of jock types in maroon sports jackets chanting "Bayside, Bayside" next to their lockers.

We then have a scene where Slater is seen talking to Spano in his office.

"Do you remember how much fun high school used to be?," he asks.

Spano replies: "Can you believe that was like 30 years ago?"

Way to make all us old-timer fans feel ancient, guys.

The show hasn't lost its knack for nailing comical American high school character types, either.

A young student gushes that one of her ripped peers is "so hot and popular, like Justin Bieber if he wasn't, like, 100 years old."

Meanwhile, hot but vacant Mac Morris (played by Mitchell Hoog) is shown telling sassy new student Daisy (Haskiri Velazquez) that Bayside is "99% paperless, so getting your books is kind of a pain in the a**."

Scanning a code on his tablet, Mac grumbles: "Ugh, that took forever."

"Time out, what did that blonde fool just say to me?", says Daisy to camera.

Clearly, Mac is a case of looks over books.

Bayside's new principal, Ronald Toddman (Jonathan Michael Higgins) concludes: "these kids can be sheltered... and clueless."

We hear ya, Ron.

It appears that Slater may have lost a little of his cool with age, too. Student Devante (Dexter Darden) gives him a snappy dressing down with the line: "you're a gym teacher and I saw you eating soup in your car."

Ouch!

The trailer closes with A.C. reminiscing about his high school romances with students Jamie (Belmont Cameli), the son of Jessie Spano, and Mac Morris, in his office.

"When I was in high school, I was always fighting with my best friend over a hot girl... that was actually over your dad, over your mom," he says cheekily, making a reference to Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen).

Slater continues, saying that he "started hooking up" with another girl instead. "Oh wait, that was your mom," he adds, referring to Jessie.

Hmm, awkward.

It's cheese, sure. But it's good cheese, right?

An official air date is yet to be confirmed, but the show is expected to debut this year on the Peacock streaming service.

Bring on this reboot.
