Less than a week after this summer's Love Island came to an end, fans are already looking forward next summer to see a whole fresh batch of singles looking for love.

However, one MP is warning that it could all come to an end when Britain finally leaves the European Union because it will make it a lot harder for British citizens to work in Europe.

Labour's Jess Phillips suggested Brexit could be the end of the dating show, which is filmed on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

In parliament, Jess said: "To work in another country will be much more difficult and Love Island I think would be considered to be work."

Brexit was a concern for the Islanders when Hayley Hughes famously thought leaving the EU would mean we "wouldn't have any more trees."

Georgia Steel asked the girls: "What do you think about Brexit?"

What's that," asked a clueless Hayley.

When Georgia told her that it meant the UK was leaving the European Union, Hayley said: "I seriously don't have a clue."

Georgia went on to claim: "Which would mean like welfare and things we trade with will be cut down."

Now concerned, Hayley asked: "So does that mean we won't have any trees?"

"That's got nothing to do with it babe that's weather," replied Georgia.

Thankfully, Kendall Rae Knight was on hand to explain: "We're just not in the European Union, we're still classed as being in Europe."

Georgia then questioned: "Does it mean it would be harder to go to Spain and stuff?"

As the penny finally dropped, Hayley asked: "So it's harder to go on holiday. I love my holidays."

Despite the entire nation taking the p*ss out of Hayley, Labour MP (and Love Island fan) Stella Creasy claims Hayley's concerns were valid.

She said: "It's going to affect everything, so it could affect the trees because the relationship with Europe covers things like the environment and things like pollution, so it does cover everything including the trees."
