Maura Higgins Fuels Speculation She's The New 'Winter Love Island' Host With Cryptic Instagram

Reality star Maura Higgins has fuelled speculation that she's set to host of Winter Love Island in her latest Instagram post.

The 29-year-old has set tongues wagging after she shared several cryptic posts on the photo-sharing platform, including one of her sat on a private jet.

Looking utterly relaxed, she teased her 2.6million followers that she was "off to the sun to shoot something very exciting...".

The biggest hint that Maura could be preparing to host the show came once she had touched down at an unknown sunny destination and posed with her back to the camera, standing next to an infinity pool.

Adding to the speculation, she captioned the image: "Do one winter...," the tagline for the new series of the reality show.

Viewers of the dating show have been calling for Maura to take over from Caroline Flack, following the 40-year-old's arrest on Friday for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, at her North London home.

Under her latest post, one fan wrote: "If you are replacing Caroline, it will be so good. I so hope you're good at presenting!!!"

"She's filming the introductions etc early to allow Flack time to get to court etc? Temp replacement?" another penned.. "winter love island host?!?"

Tyla have contacted ITV for comment.

The Longford native was catapulted into the limelight earlier this year on the most recent series of the hit ITV2 series and subsequently landed a presenting stint on This Morning.

She joined the popular daytime show initially as an agony aunt, before fronting her own segment, 'Maura's Love Ireland;, which saw her show viewers around the Emerald Isle.
