BBC's latest thriller, The Nest, began airing last Sunday - and now just two episodes in, people are absolutely hooked.

The thriller, starring Line of Duty's Martin Compston, centres on the life-changing pact made between a wealthy couple and a teenage girl, who agrees to act as their surrogate.

When 18-year-old Kaya (Sex Education's Mirren Mack) agrees to carry a baby for besotted duo Dan (Martin Compston) and Emily (Peaky Blinder's Sophie Rundle), after they meet on opposite ends of town, it seems like the world threw the trio together on purpose - but all isn't as it seems.

The first episode of the five-part thriller aired on Sunday 22nd March (after the BBC kept the release day as mysterious as the plot), with the second airing last night. In it, the secrets behind Kaya's identity began to unravel.

Dan learns about the infamous 11-year-old child-killer, Neve, who stabbed a woman to death in Lewis. She's now grown up and living under a new name - could it be Kaya? And with the wheels of his the surrogacy in motion, should he tell his wife Emily what he's found out?

Already, viewers are hooked with the "gripping" drama.

"The Nest is gripping, only thing to look forward to in this isolation," wrote one fan on Twitter.

"The Nest on BBC 1 is fantastic ... totally gripped! Good to see @Glasgow_Times making a cameo role also! #thenest," repeated another.

"The Nest on BBC has me hooked. Definitely still think Dan's a dodgy so and so even with that reveal!," offered a third.

"The nest on bbc is the best thing I've watched in a while," was high praise from another.

The Nest, penned by BAFTA award-winning Three Girls writer Nicole Taylor, continues on Sunday 5th April.
