If your idea of happily-ever-after is marrying a complete stranger, guess what? Channel 4 show, Married At First Sight is now looking for applicants for its upcoming series.

If you've never watched the show, it's all about two total strangers who meet for the first time on their big day. Talk about pre-wedding jitters...

Before the wedding, a panel of experts are busy matching up couples, using science, quizzes and technology to decide which singles are best suited.

These include a psychologist, an evolutionary anthropologist and a psycho-sexual therapist.

From personality-based exams to interviews and a 'hair strand test' which looks for high levels of cortisol (the stress hormone), it's a pretty meticulous process.

The participants are also analysed on things like family values and future ambitions in order to make the match as successful as possible.

Some couples bottle it before walking down the aisle while many have opted for a divorce days, weeks and months after getting hitched.

But if you fancy your chance in finding 'the one', the application process is mega easy. To take part, you must be 18 or over and all you need to do is email your name, age, and contact number to [email protected].

Due to a high number of applicants, Channel 4 has explained it cannot get back to everyone. You can read more on the website.

For viewers excited about the new series, Netflix show Love Is Blind has been dubbed "the new Married At First Sight".

The show launched on the streaming platform last week and people have been gushing that it is addictive AF.

In a similar format to Married At First Sight the show follows a group of singles hoping to find somebody who loves them for their personality alone.

However, couples don't meet while getting to know each other, and instead speak from separate pods, only coming face-to-face for the first time moments after one pops the question.

Between this and Married At First Sight, we'll never leave the sofa...
