‘Lucifer’ Continues Its Reign As Most Binge-Watched Show On Netflix For Seventh Week In A Row

‘Lucifer’ Continues Its Reign As Most Binge-Watched Show On Netflix For Seventh Week In A Row

Just a year after saving the show from being axed, Netflix recently announced that the fifth series of Lucifer will be its last.

However if its ratings are anything to go by, they may want to rethink that decision as the American fantasy series has just topped the list of most-binged shows out of all the streaming services for the seventh week in a row.

TV Time - a website that allows fans to track their television watching habits - reported its most recent 'Binge Report' on Tuesday and it would appear that people are really digging the dark Tom Ellis-starring series which is taking pride of place as the number one most binged slot for another week running.

Lucifer is now on a par with Game of Thrones as the only two shows to hit seven weeks at the top, and we only have one more week to wait to see if it will set a new record and go for the big eight.

The listings put Lucifer ahead of Marvel's Jessica Jones which released its third and final season just a couple of weeks ago, with Trinkets, Friends and Dark making up the rest of the top five.

While it's worth nothing that this data only reflects what is logged by TV Time users and doesn't necessarily reflect an accurate number in terms of total people watching the show, it does at least provide an insight into the region's viewing habits, proving Lucifer fans are nothing short of loyal.

Naturally the news that the box set will be cancelled after its fifth series has prompted a #SaveLucifer campaign across Twitter - led by the show's star Lauren German - who tweeted: "#Lucifans If you want a season 6 or more let it be heard. We love that you love #Lucifer your support on social media is cherished and important."

"GUYS! WE CAN ACTUALLY DO THIS! THERE IS AN ACTUAL CHANCE THAT THINGS CAN CHANGE...DON'T GIVE UP!! #SaveLucifer #LuciferSeason6" pleaded one fan.

"I feel like asking for 15 seasons is too much but I'm just so in love #SaveLucifer" tweeted another.

The show is based on the Vertigo Comics series of the same name, who sees its title character flee Hell to live among humans on earth while running a nightclub in LA and consulting with the LAPD on a regular basis.

You can check out Tom Ellis with his top off in the season 4 trailer below. Now who would want that to end?
