PSA: 'Love Island' USA Is Arrives TONIGHT - Here's Where You Can Watch It

Brace yourselves. Just when you thought you'd have to wait until next year for a new season of Love Island, the USA version is landing on UK television. We are Ovie the moon.

Series one of the show from over the pond, which was no doubt inspired by the UK's hugely successful show, will be available to watch on ITVBe tonight.

It will be on five nights per week and run for four weeks in total - that's September/October sorted then.

You'll need to stay up late to watch it though, as it is airing at midnight, with the second instalment showing even later on Monday night (or should we say Tuesday morning) at 1am.

We think this is one for the box to record, or we'll be needing matchsticks to keep our eyes open in the office the day after.

It sounds like we're in for a treat though, with the USA version sounding similar to our homegrown original, except 'on steroids'.

It also averaged around 2.6million viewers per episode compared to the UK's 500,000 on its first series, so it is already a huge hit over the pond, with a second series already having been commissioned by CBS.

It follows the same formula as the original Love Island, with one gender entering the villa first ready to couple up, followed by the whole troupe getting ready for their first night in.

The only key difference is that in the USA version, the lads and ladies get ready together. How the devil will the girls discuss the lads behind their backs now?

Otherwise, villa life seems pretty similar to the UK's, featuring neon signs with slogans like 'Good vibes only,' a decking area, beanbags and even Islanders shouting that they have a text.

The key difference with the two villas though, is naturally the USA's is much bigger, with a huge pool that will likely fit more floats than people and oh, it's set in Fiji too. Could it be any more extra?

We all knew the USA would go one better though didn't we?

What we love about our UK version though is we have the hilarious gags of Iain Sterling and the lovely Caroline Flack as host.

However, USA host Arielle Vandenberg has received plenty of praise, she's as gorgeous as Caroline and is a comedienne, so we're expecting some one-liners from her.

As for narrator Matthew Hoffman, he has been slated a bit for copying Iain's classic comments.

We'll reserve judgment until we've seen it.

As for the Islanders themselves, what can we expect?

Of course they all look seriously chiselled and beautiful, but ITV America chief creative officer and executive producer David Eilenberg has promised the islanders are all looking for love, not just fame.

He told the Hollywood Reporter: "No matter what other attributes somebody has, they have to have some degree of really wanting love, a connection, an adventure and something that can be transformational for their lives."

"Once you see that the person is in it for the reasons that drive the show, then you're interested in the diversity of characters, their backgrounds and viewpoints."

We're not convinced this version will top ours, but it will certainly fill the void that has appeared in our lives since the UK version ended earlier this year.

And now that the nights are drawing in and the temperature is dropping, we will no doubt find ourselves in front of the TV much more, so it's perfect timing for it to drop on the box.

Thank you USA.

Love Island USA airs tonight at 12am on ITVBe.
