Love Island star Ollie Williams has quit the reality show just three days in.

The 23-year-old has left the villa after realising he's still in love with his ex-girlfriend Laura, who he split from last year following an 18-month relationship.

A Love Island spokesperson told Tyla: "Ollie has made the decision to leave the Love Island villa."

Explaining his reasons, Ollie said in the beach hut: "I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else.

"I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings.

"At the end of the day, this is Love Island and it's about finding love. If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn't be fair on them."

Ollie was coupled up with singer Paige Turley - who is also Lewis Capaldi's ex-girlfriend - but it seems Paige will now have to set her sights on another islander - which is sure to cause some friction.

Since Love Island started earlier this week, Ollie had been slammed after images of him posing with dead animals on a shooting trip in Africa were posted online.

Watchdog Ofcom revealed they have received 467 complaints relating to Ollie, meanwhile a petition to have him removed from the show has been signed by almost 39,000 people.

"He has proudly posed with an array of dead endangered animals including warthog and water buffalos among other animals he killed in Africa in order to promote his hunting business, Cornish Sporting Agency," the page reads.

"[...] ITV allowing him to be on the show is implying that they are okay with his sick and sadistic hobby."

With the girls set to recouple over the next few days, this news is sure to ruffle some feathers...
