Love Island Contestants Will Not Be Able To Watch England Vs Italy In Euros Final

Spare a thought for this year's Islanders, who will not be able to watch the Euros final between England and Italy on Sunday.

ITV confirmed to Tyla that this year's Love Island contestants won't be able to watch the match - so while it might be coming home, they won't have a clue.

While the country gathers around the telly this weekend, to see if England can win the Euros for the first time ever, some fans in the villa will be missing out.

It's expected that at least Toby will be gutted to miss the historic moment, considering he is a footballer himself.

It's not clear if the Islanders have - or will - be told about England's progress in the competition but hopefully someone will record if for them for when they're home!

The nail biting game is taking place on Sunday at Wembley, with calls for prime minister Boris Johnson to make Monday a bank holiday if England do secure a historic win.

Wednesday's semi-final match against Denmark was tense enough, with England managing to beat Denmark 2-1 after the match went into extra time.

Speaking about the Islanders potentially having no idea about England's place in the final, one person wrote on Twitter: "I just deeped that these guys in love island have no idea England are in the final of the Euros, even worse if we win it, I'd be fuming."

Another added: "One of tonight's late night thoughts: I wonder if they'll let the love island cast watch the final of the euros I'd be fuming if I was one of them and I missed it."

While a third added: "Imagine being in the love island villa and not knowing England made the euros final and could potentially bring it home."

Due to the football, Sunday's episode of Love Island will air an hour later than usual, at 10pm, followed by Aftersun at 11pm.

Since this article was published, Tyla understands this year's Islanders were shown the Euros final football match between England and Italy on Sunday as it aired.
