Love Island fans waited patiently all weekend to see who new girl Rachel Finni would choose to couple up with.

So it's little surprise they were left disappointed when last night's omnibus failed to show the outcome of the series' most brutal recoupling yet.

It was revealed last week that bombshell Rachel, 29, would be forced to recouple with either Brad or Chuggs, sending the other one home.

And fans reacted in outrage when Sunday night's episode concluded with yet another cliffhanger, meaning they'll have to wait another 24 hours to see who'll be packing their bags.

You can watch the tense scene here:

Some went as far as vowing to complain to industry regulator Ofcom, with one fan tweeting: "I'm in two minds to complain to ofcom for love island WASTING MY TIME."

Another wrote: "LOVE ISLAND I'M CONPLAINING TO OFCOM."

A third said: "Right I'm off to lodge a complaint with Ofcom for that ending, ITV."

While one tweeted: "I sat through millions of ads just for it to end in cliffhanger"!

Travel specialist Rachel was the latest arrival on the dating show after bursting onto screens following last week's recoupling ceremony.

The Londoner said she wanted to enter the show as she's "scraped the bottom of the dirtiest barrels" when it comes to her dating life.

She said: "I think it's an amazing way to spend the last year of my twenties, doing something that fulfils me emotionally as well.

"It's more than going on Love Island for the sake of it. I'm doing it because I love the show and I need someone to marry me."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
