People Are Losing It At Flustered Louis Theroux After Woman's NSFW Comment On New Doc

After almost 20 years of making documentaries, it takes a lot for Louis Theroux to be flustered.

But in his latest doc, Selling Sex, which aired on BBC Two last night, Louis is lost for words when a woman tells him she'd be aroused if he touched her leg.

The new documentary sees the award-winning filmmaker investigate how sex work has changed in Britain since the rise of social media.

During the doc, Louis meets 23-year-old student Ashleigh who for several years, has been streaming live sex shows from her home.

Six weeks prior to her meeting with Louis, the final-year art student opened an account on an 'industry website'. During their meeting, she explained to Louis that she had a booking later that evening at a man's flat.

In true Louis style, the 49-year-old begins quizzing Ashleigh on what she expects from the man she's about to meet.

"Would you expect to have an orgasm?" he asks.

Explaining she would only orgasm in "a scenario in which [she] felt calm and comfortable" Louis continued: "But, you'd expect to be aroused?"

Much to Louis' surprise, Ashleigh says she gets aroused "just from being touched".

"If you were to put your arm on my leg right now I'd probably be aroused," she explained.

"People always compliment me saying 'you're so wet, you must be so into it' and I'm like, 'honey I'm always wet,' I'm just aroused a lot of the time."

Cue nervous laughs and a very awkward Louis who manages to nod his head a couple of times before mumbling: "Okay, then".

Viewers took to Twitter to discuss the scene, with one posting a GIF captioned: "Louis Theroux when that woman was telling him she's basically permanently aroused and soaking wet..."

Other major Louis fans joked they would have had the same response if he also touched their leg.

"This art student on Louis Theroux telling him she'd be aroused right now if put his hand on her leg. I mean, same."

Ahead of its release, BBC called the documentary a "challenging and complex film about the modern face of one of the oldest taboos".

In the doc, Louis also meets two other women with different paths that lead them to sex work. This lighthearted moment aside, it sure is a fascinating and illuminating watch.
