Louis Theroux And Ovie Soko Are Appearing On 'The Great Celebrity Bake Off'

MESSAGE! This is the stuff of telly dreams.

There's no denying that The Great British Bake Off has gifted us with some telly gold over the years.

There was the time when Diana accidentally took Ian's baked Alaska out of the freezer. There was Paul's near-mythical lion bread. And then there was the phenomenon that was Selasi.

But those moments may soon be trumped, if the line-up for this year's The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is anything to go by, because two of our all-time favourite men are set to appear.

Pro basketball player and reality TV star Ovie won the nation's hearts in Season 5 of 'Love Island' (

Among the bakers entering the tent in a bid to win the Star Baker apron are - wait for it - documentary-making legend Louis Theroux and Love Island 2019 star Ovie.

It's like the telly gods have answered all of our prayers at once. Could this spell the start of a beautiful bromance? We hope so.

Over the years, Louis has gathered a cult following thanks to his oh-so-British style of investigative journalism, asking the questions no one else dare ask in the politest manner.

His kindness, whip-smart intelligence and ability to connect with his subjects have made him the nation's favourite documentarian.

Pro basketball player and reality TV star Ovie wooed the nation in Season 5 of Love Island.

The gentle giant swiftly became a favourite thanks to his laidback attitude, slick fashion sense (those hats!) and finesse for making a cracking omelette.

We can see it now. Louis' glasses misted with flour. Ovie popping his bucket hat in the freezer to keep cool as the tent heats up. Both breaking eggs - and hearts - all over our screens.

The remaining roll-call of celebrity bakers for the five-part series includes some big names.

Ready to impress judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood are Queer Eye's fashion expert Tan France, singer-songwriter James Blunt, and This Morning's Alison Hammond.

Also donning their pinnies are Former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, comedian Russell Howard, TV personality and Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.

Not to mention Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, British tennis number one Johanna Konta, TV presenter Carol Vorderman, actress and presenter Caroline Quentin, TV judge Rob Rinder, presenter Alex Jones and comedian Mo Gilligan.

Plus - we're not done yet - YouTuber and West End star Joe Sugg, comedian Joel Dommett, actor James Buckley, presenter Kelly Brook and comedian and author Jenny Eclair.

Host duo Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be watching over the bakers, on hand with hugs and words of encouragement as temperatures rise.

Let the flour fly - and bring on Ovie and Louis in aprons.
