We can't think of anyone else playing the role of Phoebe in Friends other than Lisa Kudrow.

But did you know she actually landed the iconic role after being let go from another sitcom - Frasier?

Yep, Lisa Kudrow sat down with Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox on Sirius XM's The Howard Stern Show where she discussed her impromptu exit from Kelsey Grammer-fronted series.

Three days into filming the pilot episode for Fraiser, Lisa, who played the role of Roz Doyle, left the show.

"I wasn't right for the part [or] for the chemistry of the group. So that wasn't working but I did think, 'oh, I am not this guy's cup of tea," she said, referring to the pilot's director James Burrows.

Director James would later direct episodes of Friends, including its pilot episode. Lisa revealed she was anxious that her short stint on Frasier would cost her the role of future 'Smelly Cat' singer Phoebe.

She added: "I had one extra audition just for James Burrows. I did it and he went, 'no notes.' I left going, 'That either means she's beyond help and helpless, just like I always knew,' or 'Yeah, it's perfect. I have no notes.'"

The role of Roz Doyle in Frasier was eventually recast and was played by Peri Gilpin, with the sitcom on air for a whopping 11 seasons between 1993 and 2004. The show was a spin-off inspired by Cheers.

The cast of Friends reunited on screen for the first time in 17 years for a HBO Max special, leaving fans thirsty for all the behind the scenes details from the making of the show.

One of the biggest revelations came after Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer revealed they had crushes on each other during the early seasons of the show.

Host James Corden asked if any of the cast members had off-screen romances, leading to the pair confirming the feelings they had for each other back in the day.
