Line of Duty fans, assemble at once!

While we're all waiting patiently for Series 6 of the police drama, it's now been announced that a special, one-off scene will be coming to BBC next month as part of Sport Relief 2020.

And all our favourites will be getting involved, with DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston), DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) teaming up for the comical sketch.

In a special 'deleted' scene from the fifth series, the trio can be seen interrogating accused corrupt officer, DC Taylor (who is played by Jason Isaacs).

They have strong suspicions he knows the identity of the true 'H' - and it's not looking good for DC Taylor, who is being represented by lawyer David Rickman - played by comedian Lee Mack.

Unfortunately, he's not the most effective or reliable representation!

The night of telly - which is filmed in Salford - will include a selection of other witty sketches, including a Killing Eve parody - 'Killing Steves' - as well as Sir Andy Murray and comedian Romesh Ranganathan teaming up for a round of mini golf.

Sport Relief 2020 will air live on BBC One on Friday 13th March at 7pm. There'll be plenty of famous faces, with Alex Scott, Oti Mabuse, Emma Willis, Tom Allen, Maya Jama and Rylan Clark-Neal joining Gary Lineker and Paddy McGuinness on presenting duties.

The Line of Duty sketch comes after BBC released some behind the scenes set pictures last week, as the cast reunited for Series 6.

BBC confirmed the next instalment was in the works earlier this month, sharing a picture of Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and new star Kelly Macdonald (from Boardwalk Empire, The Victim and Giri/Haji).

The cast look *very* happy to be back and we're so excited for it to return to our screens.

At present, there is no official launch date for series six, but hopefully we won't be waiting too long.

Historically, Line of Duty has aired every two years, so it's expected the show could drop in Spring 2021.

At least we have the Sport Relief snippet to keep us going!
