We've only got one episode of Line of Duty left this season - but we've still got a whole stack of questions that desperately need to be answered.
After the intense interrogation of Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) by AC-12 - which saw Joanne reveal she was coerced into concealing evidence and perverting the course of justice for the OCG - we appeared to have a better understanding who the mysterious H figure could be.
Joanne admitted she had been corresponding with someone whose IP address would mean they were based in Spain; a likely match for corrupt copper Marcus Thurwell (played by James Nesbitt, who briefly appeared in a photograph last week).
However, when AC-12 worked with the Spanish police in order to raid the address Thurwell was believed to be staying it, it appeared to be a dead end for the anti-corruption team as the Spanish police only found two bodies at the property.
While we are led to believe the bodies are of Marcus Thurwell and his partner, this is never explicitly confirmed in the episode - and fans are not convinced that Thurwell is really dead.
Why? Because Line Of Duty viewers don't believe the show would have hired such a well-known actor like James Nesbitt in order for him to only have a brief cameo.
In fact, some savvy fans discovered that Nesbitt's cameo only saw him land 70 seconds of screen-time - which seemed odd for such a well-loved star.
Taking to Twitter, many armchair detectives shared their latest theories.
"Whatsapp group think Thurwell is still alive. Why pay Nesbitt rates for a mug shot and a paparazzi pic?" one fan rightly point out.
"Who else knew that the Spanish op would find a dead body in that villa? I agree with others though, that they wouldn't have used a well-known actor if they weren't going to bring him in," a second fan added. "I won't believe the body is his without a photo.
"Let us all be blessed with the easy pay cheque that Jimmy Nesbitt just got, pose for two photos and get a cast listing, sublime," a third joked.
Others even went as far to suggest that Thurwell was hiding in plain sight, saying the Spanish police officer leading the raid looked awfully familiar.
"There's a theory the Spanish officer Ted was communicating with is Nesbitt in disguise," one person suggested.
"This guy was Nesbitt. Something about those eyes," a second claimed.
"The Spanish copper's eyes looked like James Nesbitt's!" a third exclaimed,
We have to admit, we do see the similarities, but we wouldn't put anything past Jed Mercurio. Remember when he killed off Julia Montague, who was played by acting legend Keeley Hawes, just three episodes into Bodyguard?
With only one episode of the series left, all will be revealed in Line of Duty, Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
