'Line Of Duty' Fans Spot Plot Twist In New Teaser Photos

'Line Of Duty' Fans Spot Plot Twist In New Teaser Photos

Ever since filming restarted for Line of Duty Season 6, creator Jed Mercurio has been treating fans to behind the scenes snippets of what we can expect from the next instalment.

But Jed's latest teaser snaps have caused quite a stir among viewers, with many thinking one photo in particular gives away a major plot twist.

"#LineofDuty6 Another great week of filming in Belfast," Jed wrote on Twitter, alongside three photos taken on set.

The images show the likes of DI Kate Fleming (played by Vicky McClure), DS Steve Arnott (played by Martin Compston) and Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) in what looks like an action packed scene.

But one very eagle-eyed fan noticed something odd about DS Arnott's uniform - his three stripes (which symbolise sergeant status) have disappeared.

"Stevie boy demoted to PC?" The fan wrote.

Meanwhile another person suggested Steve could simply be undercover. Hmmmm, very interesting!

It's not the only behind the scenes snap Jed has shared recently.

Last month, he posted a mega exciting stunt scene image, of a white van tipped on its side. "#LineofDuty6 Huge respect to our stunts team led by Donal O'Farrell featuring ace stunt drivers Steph Carey and Dave Anders," he wrote.

"It's easy for me to write 'van rolls' - they make it happen. Steph doubled for Keeley Hawes in S2 and hardcore LoD fans will recognise Dave from S4..."

One thing is for sure, it certainly seems like there's going to be some very dramatic scenes in the next season.

And while it's not currently clear when Season 6 of the cop drama will arrive back on our screens, we think we can all agree it can't come soon enough!
