Line Of Duty Fans Think Chloe Bishop Leaked The James Lakewell Prison Plan After Spotting Major Clue

We're now over halfway through this season of Line of Duty and fans are constantly on the lookout for the next clue as to who the elusive H is, and just how each part of the story adds up.

And after THAT latest episode, in which we saw DC Chloe Bishop and DI Steve Arnott attempt to talk to Jimmy Lakewell about what he knew about the Gail Vella murder, we're even more confused.

After breaking Jimmy out of prison, Steve and Chloe were targeted by armed assailants en route to AC-12, who shot at them, trying to kill Jimmy.

In the crossfire, a police officer was killed, and it was revealed that the prison plan to get Jimmy out could only having been leaked by someone inside the prison, or by AC-12 themselves.

And fans are desperate to know just who did it.

Twitter user @OliverC_SFC had an interesting theory, with some video evidence to back it up.

He wrote: "Chloe Bishop leaked the James Lakewell prison plan. She knew exactly where to look for that first Range Rover."

Oliver also likened Chloe "looking out" for the range rover to the heist in episode one, when DCI Joanne Davidson knew JUST where to look for that van.

Others were equally as convinced by this theory.

"Chloe was also quick to spot the black cars, as if she was looking out for them. She certainly has all the info to leak," said one.

While another added: "Chloe was looking for that car!!"

Some were, however, quick to point out that once the police van had overturned and the coast seemed to be clear, that Chloe was keen to open up the van doors in order to expose Jimmy and save herself.

One user said: "One thing no one is talking about. Chloe Bishop being so keen to get that van door open, giving the sniper a perfect opportunity to shoot. Of course she couldn't open the door herself, she "couldn't get a grip"."

And another pointed out that she'd been VERY interested in the conversation that Steve and Kate had about Ryan in episode five.

"Chloe was very interested in that conversation ... Do we know all we need to know about Chloe's background??," they said.

Meanwhile, a further theory suggests that Chloe could be Tony Gates' daughter. Could this be true?

Line of Duty airs on Sunday evenings at 9pm.
