ITV has dropped the Liar Series 2 trailer and launch date and we're now so excited for it to land back on our TV screens this March.

We last saw the show back in 2017, so its been a long time coming and fans will remember we were left on a huge cliffhanger, with Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd) found dead and Laura Nielson (Joanne Froggatt) in the frame.

She even admits at the start of the new full length trailer: "I wanted Andrew to suffer".

Adding: "And when I found out, I was relieved...that he couldn't hurt anyone else, the way he hurt me".

She later continues: "There are some people who will think whoever killed him is a hero".

And it seems as though police may think she's guilty, as we see her handcuffed in the clip inside prison.

One of Andrew's victims, Laura, now faces being charged with his murder but asserts her innocence (

But she moves on to quickly affirm her innocence, saying: " I don't know who killed Andrew Earlham, but I'm not taking the fall for it".

"I did not murder Andrew Earlham".

To which new character addition DI Renton, played by Katherine Kelly responds: "Well then I best find out who did then eh?".

As fans will know, at the start of Series 1, Laura believes Andrew raped her, whilst he insists the sex was consensual.

She then suffers a torrent of disbelievers, causing her to question her own sanity - that is of course until she uncovers proof - a recording of him raping her.

But when she does, she also unearths videos of him sexually assaulting other victims and when he realises his cover is blown, he goes on the run.

So it's not just Laura who could've killed him, there are so many people who would probably like to see him dead - even his own son who has realised the monster his father is.

In an earlier teaser from ITV last month, a video flicked between all the people who may have murdered the high-flying surgeon.

So, whodunnit?

We don't need to wait much longer for the big reveal, with the show dropping next month, although fans have been pretty patient so far.

Filming started for Liar series 2 last January, over a year after the last episode of the first series dropped and by the time the next instalment lands, it will have had an almost two-and-a-half year gap.

Considering the time it's taken to pull it together, we're expecting big things - we just hope it's worth the wait.

Liar Series 2 will land on ITV and ITV Player in March.
