Legally Blonde Cast Are Reuniting For The First Time In 20 Years Tonight

Legally Blonde fans couldn't control their excitement on Monday evening, when Reese Witherspoon teased the movie's first reunion in 20 years.

Reminiscing over the cult film, Reese posted a teaser clip of the cast's virtual reunion (which will be streamed in full tonight) adding: "Don't you want to see if Elle & Warner finally make up?"

"You guys!! It's a Legally Blonde Reunion. We laughed, we cried and we may or may not have done the bend & snap for old times sake!" She wrote.

"For the first time in 20 years, join me and the #LegallyBlonde cast tomorrow at 3:15PM PST on the @hellosunshineYouTube channel!

"PS: Don't you want to see if Elle & Warner finally make up?"

Alongside Reese, other cast members tuning in for the reunion include Selma Blair (who played Vivian Kensington), Luke Wilson and Holland Taylor.

And Reese's followers went crazy over the reunion, including some famous fans such as Ellen DeGeneres who wrote: "I'm sorry. I just hallucinated."

While Reese's Little Fires Everywhere co-star Kerry Washington added: "WOW! Yaaaaaaaaas RW".

Meanwhile one fan commented: "Oh my god!!! First we get a Legally blonde 3 and now a REUNION!!! Reese single-handedly saved us all."

Last year, fans got the news they'd been hoping for when a Legally Blonde 3 movie was confirmed, with Mindy Kaling penning the script.

Excitingly, Reese will be reprising her role as Elle Woods in the upcoming movie, with Mindy telling Good Morning America: "I was nervous, because the [original 2001] movie is so iconic. But then I thought, 'It'd be really fun to see that character in her 40s. What is Elle Woods dealing with as a 41-year-old woman?'

"And it's been really funny to write. And I'm working on it with my friend Dan [Goor], and I think it's going to be a great movie for Reese and people are going to love to see her in this part."

Last year, Universal Pictures exclusively confirmed to Tyla that Legally Blonde 3 would be hitting cinemas on May 8 2020 - but this has sadly been pushed back due to the pandemic.
