Well that was quick! The Kissing Booth 2 dropped on Netflix in July and now we know for sure that the sequel, The Kissing Booth 3 will premiere next summer.

Yep, the franchise's star Joey King has revealed that the third film will be out during summer 2021 during her acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards 2020 where she won Comedy Movie Star.

The second film, which co-starred Jacob Elordi, came out during summer this year.

It was revealed that the second film and the third film were shot at the same time in South Africa. This meant the cast and crew were mostly unaffected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has shut down the production of hundreds of films and TV shows.

During a live YouTube event with the cast following the premiere of the second film, Joel Courtney (who plays Lee) explained: "We filmed two and three at the exact same time."

"It was the hardest secret to keep ever," added Joey King (who plays Elle).

And all the main cast are set to return for the third film, including Joey, Joel, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald.

Based on the books by Beth Reekles, Kissing Booth 2 catches up with Elle Evans who has just had "the most romantic summer of her life" with bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi).

The upcoming third film will tackle Elle's challenges in deciding where she will attend college. She has been accepted to both Harvard, the same school Noah will attend, and Berkely, where BFF Lee has enrolled. Where will she go?!

Netflix first gave us a taste of the third film in July. Elle hangs up a call from the Harvard Admissions Office (becoming probably the first person in history to do so) while lounging at the pool with Noah and her friends.

Bring. It. On.
