Fans of a good teen comedy, it's time to gear up for The Kissing Booth 2.
It's the much-anticipated sequel to the hit Netflix movie which became one of the streamer's most re-watched film when it was released in 2018.

What happened in the first Kissing Booth movie?
The first movie followed Elle and her long-time best friend Lee as they navigate the teen dramas of their junior year in high school.
Despite their closeness, Elle hides a secret from Lee: she's in love with his motorbike-riding older brother, Noah (Jacob Elordi).

The original film had an ambiguous ending, with Noah disappearing off to college without so much as turning over his shoulder (although, admittedly, Elle did ask him not to look back).

According to Netflix, "Elle just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year.
"She'll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez)."
The synopsis continues: "When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs." So much drama.

The good news is the main cast are back for the sequel! Joey King will be reprising her role as the lovestruck Shelly 'Elle' Evans.
The actress, 20, was the first to break the news of the film's release date, telling Instagram followers: "The Kissing Booth 2. Coming to Netflix on July 24th. DROP ME SOME KISSES IF YOU ARE PUMPED!!"
Joel Courtney is back as Lee and Jacob Elordi is returning as Elle's boyfriend, the hunky Noah.

Do we have a trailer?
Yes! In the most recent trailer dropped at the start of the month, we see flashbacks of Elle and her dreamy boyfriend Noah's summer of love.
But flash forward to the present and she's having to deal with concerns about her long-distance relationship and unhelpful comments from high school mean girls, The OMGs.
Meanwhile, she's introduced to new high school hottie Marco - who is every bit as hunky as Netflix described.
We can't wait for this.
