Kingsman is officially going to become a huge franchise, according to the movie's creators.

Yep, we've had Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle thus far, while a third film, The King's Man, is on it's way.

But Marv, the production company behind all three movies - based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbon's comic book series - has teased that these are only just the beginning.

In fact, the group's CEO Zygi Kamasa hinted that director Matthew Vaughn is actually planning as many as seven movies in total.

"We want to grow the business and the output," Deadline report that Kamasa said at the Winston Baker UK Finance Summit.

"We have a Kingsman TV series in the works and there are two-three other franchises that are being developed alongside the Kingsman world."

The first two Kingsman movies made around $825 million (£617 million) in the global box office, so, it's not hard to see why there are big plans for the franchise.

The first film was released in 2015 and starred Taron Egerton and Colin Firth in its primary roles.

Meanwhile, the second film had an even bigger cast, with the likes of Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Elton John, Halle Berry, and Julianne Moore joining Taron and Colin.

The third in the intelligence agency franchise, The King's Man - which is yet to be released to to Covid-19 delays - stars Harris Dickinson and Ralph Fiennes, as well as Daniel Bruhl, Stanley Tucci, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.

The film was originally tipped to be called Kingsman: The Great Game but was subject to a last minute change.

It's a prequel to the first two movies, set in the First World War.

"As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them," a synopsis teases.

We can expect movie three in February 2021.

And, after that, it sounds like there's a lot more to come, too!
