'Killer Uncaged' Will Be Your Next True Crime Obsession
Thirty years ago in the State of Texas, Dale Wayne Sigler was sentenced to death for capital murder for a cold-blooded killing he's alway admitted to committing.
Now, having spent more than half his life behind bars, Sigler has not only been taken off death row, but he's getting ready to be released into the world he left behind all those years ago.
Brand new true crime, A Killer Uncaged, explores Sigler's reintroduction into society.
Airing on Sky Crime and Netflix from 28th June, the three-part docuseries gains "extraordinary access" to the 53-year-old's incredible story, from inside prison as he prepares to be released and take his first steps into freedom.
Viewers will watch as he's released into the custody of Carole, the 70-year-old prison pen pal he barely knows, and as he begins to adjust to life on the outside - "a world he hardly recognises".
As Sigler is reintegrated into the community, he addresses "the life he took as well as the one he lost" as well as delving into his real motive for committing the brutal crime, which filmmakers call "shockingly different to what the world has always believed it to be."
The documentary, executive produced by Danny Tipping, Ned Parker and Natalka Znak, was filmed on location in Texas over a three-year period.
Tipping said of the film: "We're really proud of this film and very grateful to Sky and Netflix for their ongoing support in bringing these types of challenging and uncompromising stories to the screen."
Airing on Sky Crime and Now TV as A Killer Uncaged, the documentary will also air globally on Netflix, where it will be branded I Am Killer: Released.
This sounds so gripping - definitely another to add to the true crime watch-list!
