As much as we're excited for the return of Love Island on our screens soon, there are rumours that we might also see a return of ITV2's Killer Camp too - and we can't wait.

Dubbed 'Murder Love Island' for its similarity to the dating reality show, Killer Camp last aired back in 2019, while a new season was delayed due to coronavirus.

But now it seems as though the wait may soon be over.

The reality TV programme piloted in 2019, with just five episodes, and is now set to have landed a full season, according to The Sun.

The thrilling show will see 12 contestants set up camp in a holiday lakeside lodge. As they try to find love and get to know their fellow contestants, they will also be left trying to work out who the 'killer' is among them.

Over the course of five nights, the 'murderer' will kill off contestants in increasingly dramatic ways, while the surviving campmates will have to figure out which one of them is responsible before they too get eliminated.

A source told The Sun: "This is already being dubbed 'Murder Love Island' as the two ITV2 shows share so many similarities.

"But obviously Killer Camp adds a twist which has echoes of cult Ryan Murphy show American Horror Story: 1984.

"And if they make it to the end of the contest they don't just stand a chance of finding another half, there's also the promise of scooping some cool, hard cash."

The new show will reportedly be hosted by stand-up comedian Bobby Mair and is set to include a mix of British and American campmates.

We can't wait!
