In our eyes, there has never been a celeb more deserving of happiness than Keanu Reeves, and now it seems he's found it.

The John Wick actor made a very public statement on Friday, when he went public with a girlfriend for the first time EVER.

Arriving at the LACMA Art + Film Gala awards with his girlfriend artist Alexandra Grant, 46, on his arm, Keanu, 55, looked super happy - and the Internet rejoiced.

According to People, the pair have been friends and collaborators for years with the artist having worked with the actor on his 2011 book, Ode to Happiness.

They also teamed up for Keanu's second book, Shadows, is 2016 for which Alexandra did the illustrations.

The couple also founded publishing house X Artists' Books together in 2017.

The relationship seems to be the best rounding off to a stellar year for the Matrix actor - dubbed the Keanu renaissance by the Internet.

He's had somewhat of a comeback with his roles in action John Wick 3, Toy Story 4, a cameo in rom-com Always Be My Maybe and the exciting news he'll be reprising his iconic role as Neo in the Matrix 4.

As for Keanu's past relationships, his history is a tragic one. The actor's girlfriend Jessica Syme, who he began dating in 1998, gave birth to a stillborn baby girl, named Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, eight months into her pregnancy.

The couple broke up weeks later as the result of the grief. Tragically, in April 2001, Jessica died in a car accident.

Keanu, who was due to shoot back-to-back sequels of the Matrix, had to take time of work to deal with his grief.

Speaking to The Guardian this year about his character's experience of grief in in John Wick, he said: "Well, for the character and in life, it's about the love of the person you're grieving for, and any time you can keep company with that fire, it is warm.

"I absolutely relate to that, and I don't think you ever work through it. Grief and loss, those are things that don't ever go away. They stay with you."

Keanu, we're happy you're happy.
