She's the savvy Manhattan judge who delivers a ruling - and a wisecrack - like no other.
For 25 years, we've watched TV's favourite law enforcer, Judge Judy - full name Judy Sheindlin - preside over courtrooms and bring criminals to justice.

But after a quarter of a century, the smash-hit show is retiring from court. Don't worry though, because a brand-new programme, Judy Justice, is in production for 2021.
Sheindlin is set to announce the news on Monday 2nd March, during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While details of the format are being kept under wraps, the fan-favourite judge wants viewers to know she's "not tired".
"I've had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS, and it's been successful," Judy told Ellen. "Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary. And CBS sort of felt, I think, they wanted to optimally utilise the repeats of my program, because now they have 25 years of reruns; so what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years' worth of reruns.
"But I'm not tired, so Judy Justice will be coming out a year later," the daytime TV star continued.
"Judge Judy, you'll be able to see next year - a full year, all new shows. The following couple of years, you should be able to catch all the reruns that CBS has sold to the stations that are currently carrying Judge Judy, and Judy Justice will be going elsewhere - isn't that fun? You know how much fun that was?
"If you're not tired, you're not supposed to stop, we talked about that the last time we were here."
Judy went from retired family court judge to a daytime TV star in the September of 1996, when Judge Judy was first syndicated.
The show became a cult hit of daytime television, and has racked up 25 years' worth of re-runs, aired around the globe. One of TV's highest paid stars, Judy reportedly earns over $47 million per year.
Known for her no-nonsense, quick-witted approach, over the years she's given us quotes like, "I love the truth. If you don't tell me the truth, you're gonna be eating your shoes", and "Beauty fades. Dumb is forever."
On that basis, we're ruling that Judy Justice is essential viewing.
