Jojo Moyes’ ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’ Is Coming To Netflix Next Year

It's been almost a year since we brought you the news that Netflix had acquired the rights to turn author Jojo Moyes' (of Me Before You fame) tear-jerking romance novel The Last Letter From Your Lover into a feature length film, and now we've FINALLY had word that it will be hitting our screens some time in 2021.

While filming had been put on hold due to the dreaded C word, actress Felicity Jones was spotted on set in Twickenham, south west London, earlier this week, shooting scenes for her latest movie alongside co-star Nabhaan Rizwan.

Who will star in The Last Letter From Your Lover?

The feature film version of Jojo Moyes' eighth book features an all-star cast. We're talking Shailene Woodley from Big Little Lies, Felicity Jones from The Theory Of Everything and Joe Alwyn from The Favourite.

But the famous faces don't stop there - Callum Turner from The Capture and Ncuti Gatwa from Sex Education will also star.

What is The Last Letter From Your Lover about?

Based on the best-selling book, which sold over three million copies globally, The Last Letter From Your Lover is a dual-narrative love story that follows Ellie (Jones), a journalist in modern-day London, who uncovers a series of love letters recounting a star-crossed affair in the 1960s.

The pair in question is Jennifer Stirling (Woodley) and Anthony O'Hare (Turner), and so intense is their romance that Ellie becomes obsessed with finding them and discovering how their story ended.

Who is the team behind the film?

It's a good 'un! It's directed by Augustine Frizell, who most recently behind the pilot episode of Euphoria, while the script is written by Wanderlust's Nick Payne and The Bridge writer Esta Spalding.

Shailene Woodley and Felicity Jones are also executive producers, too.

When will it be out?

While there's no official date as of yet, IMDb states The Last Letter From Your Lover will be on Netflix next year, so there's not too long to wait.
