Jesy Nelson was in tears last night as she took to the NTAs stage to accept an award for her emotional BBC Three documentary, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out.

The Little Mix star, 28, broke down as she gave her acceptance speech and also thanked her boyfriend, Love Island's Chris Hughes, who could be seen wiping away a tear in the audience.

The heartbreaking BBC Three documentary saw Jesy open up about the extent of her mental health battle and the relentless online abuse she received during Little Mix's rise to fame.

During the programme, the singer revealed she once tried to take her own life after trolls said she "deserved to die".

In the acceptance speech, Jesy thanked her mum as well as her fans, explaining she was so pleased she could turn a negative experience into a positive.

"This is so overwhelming, I'm such a baby," she said in between tears.

"Thank you so much. I want to thank the BBC for being the most incredible team, I want to thank my dearest friend Adam for being the most amazing director.

"I want to thank every single person that was in the documentary for being so brave and courageous to tell their own story to the world.

"I want to thank my mum, for just being the most inspirational, strongest woman in my life.

Other winners from last night's 25th NTAs included David Walliams, who scooped Best TV Judge as well as The Great British Bake Off which won for Best Challenge Show.

If you missed Jesy's documentary, it's still available to watch via BBC iPlayer. Well done, girl!
